Sitecore strongly urges customers on earlier versions of 8.0 to upgrade to 8.0 update-6 at the earliest possible opportunity.
Please note — although you will find all new documentation for Sitecore 8 on the Documentation site, much of the SDN documentation for 7.0 - 7.5 is still relevant. SDN documentation is in the process of being converted and migrated.
Download and follow the instructions to upgrade from Sitecore Experience Platform 8.0 rev 150121 (8.0 Update-1) to Sitecore Experience Platform 8.0 rev. 150223 (8.0 Update-2). If your Sitecore solution runs on an earlier version of Sitecore Experience Platform 8.0, you can update directly to Update-2 (Sitecore updates are cumulative). However, you must also implement the config file changes that have been introduced in each update. If your Sitecore solution is based on Sitecore 7.5 or earlier, you must use the upgrade instructions for Sitecore Experience Platform 8 rev. 141212 (initial release) to upgrade from Sitecore 7.5.
